Services Performed
- Vehicle will not crank, also remote central locking inoperative, no locking or unlocking. Check vehicle four trouble codes; P2071-8 (start enable not sent to engine module; Drive authorization). Perform electrical test for drive authorization; CAN C, power supply and ground signal ok to Security Key Remote Electronic Entry Module; Perform hard reset disconnect to module and found that vehicle will now start up; module has intermittent electronic malfunction. Note* If problem persists, then it is recommended to replace theSecurity Key Remote Electronic Entry Module and program. Cleared all trouble codes. Vehicle starting operation normal after reset of Security Key Remote Electronic Entry Module and central locking now working also.
- 1) Left side valve cover leaking; recommend to reseal both side valve cover gaskets. 2) Ask client about vehicle service history; transmission service, brake flush, coolant flush, spark plugs, etc.
